When in Rome…

I sometimes get hate mail in the comment on this blog. Take a look at this gem someone wrote.

Take a look at the following TOS of FB:

6. You will not bully, intimidate, or harass any user.

7. You will not post content that: is hateful, threatening, or pornographic; incites violence; or contains nudity or graphic or gratuitous violence.

10. You will not use Facebook to do anything unlawful, misleading, malicious, or discriminatory.

12. You will not facilitate or encourage any violations of this Statement.

By creating this website, you are violating point 6, as you are actually bullying FB users.

You are violating point 7, by inciting violace and hatred towards FB users.

You are violating point 10, discriminating FB users.

Finally, I’m going to check WordPress TOS and report and red flag this website as encouraging violence, hatred, harrassment and unfortunately, I’m guessing there is no “mental sanity” clause, cause you’d surely be violating that one!!

You see how these Second Life avatars are so caught up in their imaginary world with their made up social rules that they can’t even comprehend basic English? This blog isn’t on Facebook so nothing here is violating any Facebook rules! That’s like saying you’re going to get into trouble for falling asleep under a hair dryer in California when it’s only against the law in Florida. (Yes it’s against the law to fall asleep under a hair dryer in Florida, even if you’re the salon owner.) Yes it might be a silly law but it’s useless in other states!

So all you Second Lifers who come on this blog you need to remember to leave your jaded and irrational way of thinking in your little prim homes. Hey that’s a good idea to do even on Facebook! Leave your meaningless rules in Second Life and quit taking them onto Facebook! The only rules that apply on Facebook are the Facebook rules and this ain’t Facebook!

As far as the WordPress rules, this blog only makes others aware of people who use their Second Life avatars as real names on a website where the rules only allow real names. Why would you sign up to a service using a fake name where people use their real name to network with other people unless you were hiding something, trying to be deceptive, or scam other people? If you want to use your Second Life fake name then use it in Second Life, not on Facebook!
